I hated, hated, hated pastels as a kid because I couldn’t get any accuracy with them. But recently I’ve found they’re immensely satisfying for color sketches… the pigment density is pretty incredible, actually.
Also, now that I Have Job, I don’t have the kind of time for personal stuff I did when I was younger anyway; this is a pretty keen way to go.
